Marketing In 21st Century

It is said that marketing is as old as the Mankind. Marketing came into existence when the first trade or better known as barter took place. This bargain later on developed into the art of business. Globalization is a preordained process in this 21st Century, and so is the cross-ethnicity. On the one hand, the world is becoming more standardized, and dissimilarities between country-wide markets are not only declining but, for some products, will vanish altogether. This means that marketing is now a world-encircling regulation. However, on the other hand, the disparities among nations, regions, and ethnic groups in terms of cultural factors are far from distinctive but become more apparent.

As the world becomes more and more globalized, the cultural imperious is upon us so this should be realized by the marketers for better marketing abilities. Marketing in the 21st century is worldwide and includes cross-ethnic markets.  The marketers need to be more perceptive about cross-country cultures and also need to be insightful about the dissimilarities between the different cultures.

Cross-ethnic marketing is defined as the tactical method of marketing amongst people not from your ethnicity or culture and differs in atleast any one of the main criterions, be it language, religion, values, social and cultural aspects, education and living standards. Marketing values should be in tune with the cultural views of the consumers, then only can they win over the marketing strategies laid by them. Marketing in the 21st century can also be included to contain internet marketing.
